01.13    The Tower Hotel, Tower Bridge, London.

Arriving at the Chichester Theatre c. 17.05, guests of David Pick and Vintage TV. The VTV nibbles and drinks tent opened at 18.00. Another of VTV’s guests found my right ear of considerable appeal and talked into it for maybe 75 minutes, while completely ignoring Toyah. Tut. The Minx had more fun with Suzy Q…

A superb show, performances to a standard I do not take for granted in this country. I found myself entering that magical space, available more readily to children. Stunning.

From Chichester to London, and finding our hotel was an adventure: at the end of the hotel street, bollards prevented us from moving the final 30 yards. So, a little more driving around the area, a complex proposition, until eventually into our room c. 00.40.
